In either case the most common remedy is to turn to a drug. The drugs for pain start with Tylenol and end up getting stronger until you get to the opioids. Chiropractors actually have slightly more classroom hours then your medical doctor. The basic sciences of the same for both. As the education progresses, chiropractic education focuses on anatomy and physiology and particularly the nervous system as well as adjusting, whereas medical school focuses on pharmacology and toxicology.

Chiropractors are often thought of as back Doctors because we work with your back. We work with your back because it houses and protects your spinal cord and nerve roots (The beginning of your nerves). Your spine is essentially like the breaker panel in your basement. When a breaker trips in your panel, whatever is on the end of those wires receives no electricity and does not work until the breaker is flipped. Your spine and body work very much the same way. When a bone in your spine (vertebra) shifts out of its normal position, it starts to interfere with the nerves and whatever is on the end of that nerve does not work properly. If you have been injured at work or in a car accident it is important to get your spine checked by a NeuroStructural Chiropractor.
